The Net 6 showing is located near the east shore of Bennett Lake, south of the Yukon border and about 70 kilometres west-northwest of Atlin.

Uranium exploration began in the area near Partridge Lake in 1979 when E & B Exploration Ltd. ran a regional exploration program.

The area of the showing is underlain by Late Cretaceous feldspar porphyry biotite-quartz monzonite of the Coast Plutonic Complex, in contact with Upper Triassic Stuhini Group volcanics and sediments. The plutonic rocks are cut by radioactive aplite and pegmatite dikes. A sample of an aplite dike assayed 0.034 per cent uranium and 0.007 per cent thorium (Assessment Report 6882).

In 1978, work done on behalf of E & B Explorations Ltd. on their NET 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 claims consisted of reconnaissance geological mapping and geochemical sampling: this includes grid controlled geological-geochemical surveys on the east side of Bennett Lake as well as follow-up prospecting, geological mapping and geochemical sampling on the west side of Bennett Lake. A total of 84 rocks -, 74 silt - and 21 soil samples were collected (Assessment Report 7417). Net 1 and 6 were staked on the east side of Bennett Lake and Net 2, 3, 4 and 5 were staked on the west side. In 1978, work done on behalf of E & B Explorations Ltd. on their NET 1, 2, 3 and 5 claims included the collection of 7 rock - and 46 silt samples (Assessment Report 6882). Samples were analysed for uranium and thorium.

In 1981, Kennco Explorations (Western) Limited was the operator on the Net claims held by E & B Explorations Ltd (Assessment Report 9454). A total of 46 rock samples (primarily chip samples) and 8 stream sediment samples were collected. This included 2 rock samples and 6 stream sediment samples on the Net 2 claim, 44 rock samples on the Net 3 claim, and 2 stream sediment samples on the Net 5 claim. Geological mapping was completed during the course of sample collecting traverses.
